PARTICIPATION ORGANIZATION

What are we up
to?
Parents are currently
starting work in Haden Garden cutting back weeds and
sprucing up the flower beds. We'd welcome your help!
The purpose of this
organization is to provide a forum for parents to share
ideas and foster communication between the home and the
school. This organization is the voice of the parents at
John Rennie. Our meetings are open and anyone can
attend. If you have questions or concerns you would like
to bring forward please feel free to either attend our
meetings or email a committee member who will bring
forward your concern at our meeting and get back to you
with an answer.
The PPO is very involved in school/parent concerns, and
collaborates with administration and staff on the
student curriculum handbook and the student agenda. The
Parent Participation Organization is also responsible
for creating the
Parent Handbook that contains important
school information for parents.
The PPO organizes various fund raising events through
out the year. Money raised allows us to distribute
Academic awards for the students, host parent workshops
and contribute to various projects within the school.
