Founded in 1999 by Louise Chalmers, Actors' Studio is a group of 60 students from Grades 9 to 11 who are chosen based on an audition and interview. These students work hard to put on two plays throughout the school year. Each student spends one half of the school year in enriched English class while the other half is spent working as an actor on stage, or as a crew member working on the set and learning about the technical side of the theater. Students in this program are committed and give 10 extra-curricular hours per week, while maintaining high English marks. With dedication and hard work in place this program is fun for all involved while being a great learning experience!
